Professional Academy of Cosmetology is a private cosmetology school. We are looking for students who are eager, creative and ready to start working towards a career in the field of cosmetology. Whether you want to focus on cosmetology or on becoming an instructor of cosmetology, we are where you need to be. We have 31 plus years of experience in the field, and we are excited to share our knowledge with you.
Our Program...
In order to be eligible for admission to the cosmetology program, you must:

be 17 years of age or older

show a valid government issued ID

have a high school diploma or G.E.D.

sign the enrollment agreement and pay required fees

If you would like to enroll in the instructor training program, you must have all of the above requirements as well as:

a cosmetology license in the state of Michigan
-
at least 3 years of practical experience working as a cosmetologist
Our Instructors
During your instruction and your time on the floor serving clients, you will be under the supervision and care of our talented and caring instructors.
Requirements
The Cosmetology program requires 1500 hours of schooling to be completed in order to take the state board practical and written exam to become licensed.
The instructor training program requires 500 hours of classroom and instructional training to be completed in order to be eligible to take the written state board exam.
